Mark S. Dalby, Marketing, Project Manager, Owner

Mark’s 12 years of general contracting experience have led him through all phases of the construction process including estimating, field engineering, site supervision and project management. His resume began with a Civil Engineering Degree from Penn State and continued with his employment by one of the largest commercial general contractors in the country. His ability to gain management and supervisory positions of increasing responsibility led him to open his own design-build timber framing company. Mark brings his attention to safety and high standard of quality to THB. Mark’s projects have been featured in Homestead magazine, and Log Homes Illustrated.

Matthew C. Niska, Superintendent

Matthew has over ten years of experience in the construction industry.  He came to THB as a journeyman carpenter, with working knowledge of concrete, framing, log work, electrical and all phases of finish work.  Matthew’s skills and potential were readily apparent and he was quickly promoted to the position of finish foreman where he managed the trim crews on some of THB’s most impressive projects.  His careful planning and broad base of construction knowledge made him an obvious choice for promotion to superintendent.  With an eye for detail and a perfectionist personality, Matthew fits well with a THB team that seeks to provide unparalleled value and customer satisfaction.  His Cabin Project was featured in Homestead magazine and Log Home Design Ideas.

Russell E. Weaver, Senior Superintendent, Owner

Russ has been in construction since 1977 and has lived in the Jackson Hole area since 1980. As a log foreman, Russ performed and managed all operations that relate to a log home. His 16 years as a superintendent and experience as an independent general contractor in Idaho taught him to manage subcontractors such that the final product is to the high quality standards expected by our clients. Russ consistently creates positive and long lasting relationships with his clients by providing clear communication throughout the entire building process. Russ was highlighted in Architectural Digest in June 1997 for his intricate log detail, and has had projects featured in Homestead magazine, Log Home Plans, Timber Homes Illustrated, and Log Homes Illustrated.

Matthew P. Bart, Project Manager

Matthew started building homes in 1984 in Concord, New Hampshire.  After graduating from the University of NH he moved to Jackson Hole in 1995.  Working first for a computer company and then running the offices for an international mountain guide, he then joined THB from 1999-2000 as a carpenter and assistant superintendent.  For the next six years he co-owned and managed a design/build construction company in Jackson.  During that time his small company designed and built five timber frame homes.  Matthew’s experience in business management and carpentry have proved to be a tremendous asset to the THB project management team since his return in 2007.

Steve R. Comeau, Superintendent

Steve graduated from Clad H. Pattern Vocation Trade School in 1973 with high honors in Architectural Drafting and Print Reading.  He moved to Jackson in 1980 with his wife and daughter from the Boston area to work in the custom home building industry.  His opportunity to excel came when J.L.F. Architects saw his creative eye for detail and the way he could produce their desired look.  Steve adds 20 years experience of premier home building to the THB team.  His skills coordinating and working with all subcontractors from initial design to final finish assure the highest quality of work in the industry.  Steve volunteered as the superintendent for the 2008 Habitat for Humanity Home Builders Blitz, and completed a home in one week for a deserving local family.
