The Result of Impeccable Project Management.

Teton Heritage Builders takes a Project Team approach toward home building.  Our project management processes were adapted from commercial construction and tailored to meet the demands of building high-end Custom Homes in the Rocky Mountain Region.

We dedicate a Project Team to your home consisting of a Superintendent and a Project Manager.

  • Our Superintendents are on site full time.   This team member oversees, manages, and participates in all daily construction activities. The Superintendent might be the framing foreman on a small sized residence, the lead on the siding and exterior trim installation, or the finish carpenter hanging doors and installing the detailed base and case.  They are also there to answer any questions and solve any issue that will arise in the building process.  We equip them with an on-site trailer, phone, fax, and computer so communication with our office, the architect or the client is never an issue.
  • Our Project Managers are the office bound teammate dedicating time to your job and who facilitate all project management and documentation from subcontractors scopes of work to monthly payment applications and budget reports.  This includes first and foremost a consistent level of client and consultant communication.

Our team approach to project management provides your job Superintendent the freedom to deal with the construction and subcontractor work and not the back ground noise of the softer side of operations.  The Project Manager manages all the paperwork and with the Superintendent ensures there is no detail overlooked or option considered.  Additionally, the policy of Teton Heritage Builders is to assign the Superintendent and PM for the duration of the job.

Additionally, many employees are working owners or partners within Teton Heritage Builders.  These vested parties fill pivotal positions ranging from estimators and project managers to CEO and superintendents.  Our loyal teammates are with us to help grow the company.  Forgoing a short term outlook on the job market,  some employees have been with Teton Heritage Builders for 14 years and longer.  We all are imbibed with the responsibility to perform our jobs like it is our company, and in most cases, it is.

We will work hard for the opportunity to be your teammate and help you build your home in the Jackson Hole or Big Sky areas.  We have all the tools, resources, experience and enthusiasm to provide quality project management and help build you a home that you will enjoy for many years to come.  Come join the Teton Heritage Builders family.

Office Remodel Project in Jackson Hole

February 3, 2012

Teton Heritage Builders is going through a state of renewal.  As with all growing businesses it is in the natural order to reassess and revamp periodically.  This time around we are putting our efforts into redefining our own image.  More specifically, I mean that we are in the process of remodeling our offices.  At the end of 2011 we finalized the office remodel of our flagship location in Jackson, Wyoming.

Just off the main square in historic downtown Jackson, behind the Wort Hotel, lies our own slice of Jackson.  The structure was built in the 1960s and THB bought it in 2000 for our headquarters.  A renovation was a bit overdue, so last year we decided to update both the exterior and interior.  Since THB has such an incredible group of talented craftsman that we have worked closely with over the past fifteen years it made this an exciting process for us.  It started with Peg Gilday of Gilday Architects who provided us with a concept and architectural plans.  Our visions matched well and after a few very minor adjustments we began work on the exterior.

Aaron Powers of Powers Excavation dug around the entry to make way for RM Concrete to pour our new concrete foundation and sidewalks.  For the structural framing we brought on Alan’s Welding and the talented Bart Moudy from Valley Framing who set the exterior steel and timber framing.  Peak Glass supplied our brand new tilt and turn Jeld-Wen windows, Wyoming Drywall repaired the finishes around the windows and Mountain West Mechanical furnished the window shrouds.  The exterior steel components have a rustic patina and permaseal finish compliments of SDS Painting while the concrete and reclaimed lumber was treated by Kilmain Painting.

Our lumber materials were sourced from Montana Reclaimed Lumber in Gallatin Gateway, MT (next door to our Montana office) and from the local Jackson Lumber.  Terry with Custom Iron Design provided us with renderings of our iconic logo and sign.  The trees and grasses were supplied by O’Brien Landscaping, miscellaneous electrical upgrades were handled by Jackson Hole Electric, and our roofing repairs were made by Alis Roofing.

To round out the remodel we asked Bates Flooring to lend their expertise to our deserving floors.  And finally, the Town of Jackson was instrumental in the process with their prompt inspections and leniency on large deliveries and parking access.  Teton Heritage Builders is happy to have a “new” office in Jackson.  Stop in and check it out next time you are in town!

Thanks to our Jackson Hole teammates that helped with our remodel:

An Employee Owned Construction Company

January 27, 2012

THB Bear Trap HomeTeton Heritage Builders is not your average contractor; we operate under a unique business model as far as the construction industry is concerned.  THB is an employee owned business and very proud of it.  Peter Lee, President of THB, co-founded this company along with his brother in 1996 with the vision to grow a company that not only builds legacy homes, but to grow a company that will be a legacy in the Northern Rockies.

We believe that structuring the business around good people has a lot to do with our success in Jackson, WY and Big Sky, MT.  By giving our employees the option to hold a share of the company we are able to attract a team that takes great personal pride in the projects they are involved with.  In fact, our loyal employees are with us for many years, a deviation from the norm of the ever-changing payroll of most construction businesses.

Bar B Bar by THB

We strive to have good builders as partners and not competitors.  And to that end Teton Heritage Builders fostered an environment that allows individuals to invest themselves in not just one project, but many projects that come together as an impressive company portfolio.  Our attention to detail in building custom homes and commercial buildings comes from a want to uphold a personal and professional reputation along with a desire to showcase our keen skills.  If you scroll through our staff bios you will find an impressive list of project resumes.

Knowing that our individual work has an effect on our coworkers acts to strengthen not only the interpersonal bonds within the company, but also inspires brilliant work.  We put our building enthusiasm to the test every day and offer our high level of knowledge and passion to clients on every project that we undertake.  Whether our guys are building a bank on the main square in Jackson Hole or constructing a mountain lodge nestled away in Big Sky, we put our hearts and souls into every project.

Employees at Teton Heritage Builders understand and value the importance of a great finished product.  Now it should be no wonder why Teton Heritage Builders has been building legacy homes in the Northern Rockies since 1996.
